Saturday 5th December is Small Business Saturday. This year it coincides with the launch of Lewisham Council’s Shop Local Shop Safe campaign. Which champions our fantastic local, independent businesses in the run-up to Christmas.
To celebrate, lamppost banners will be hung on high streets throughout Deptford, Lewisham and Catford. While online the council is dedicating its Twitter account to local businesses. They will be encouraged, alongside residents, to take to the social media platform to promote either their own services or their favourite shops and venues using hashtag #SmallBizSatUK.
Shop Local Shop Safe continues throughout December with a series of weekly blogs which will provide inspiration to residents, giving them all the reasons they need to support local businesses whether online or in person.
