Social workers looking to join a local authority with an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted rating are invited to an open recruitment event in the London Borough of Bexley on Thursday 21 November from 2.30–6pm.
The event is the chance to learn more about children’s services in the borough, speak to current social work staff, tour the much-admired Civic Offices and find out about opportunities for career progression.
Qualified social workers that attend will be offered the opportunity of an interview. Newly qualified social workers will be welcome to come along on the open day. They can also be offered the choice of an assessment centre date in January.
Participants will have the opportunity to speak with staff and managers about how Bexley offers –
- Low caseloads to enable time to work well with children, young people, and families
- Signs of Safety Practice model- strengths and relationship-based social work
- Extensive in-house training offer, including coaching
- Career progression opportunities
There are currently vacant positions in referral and assessment, family support and child protection, and looked after children teams.
