Nominate Your Business For The Best Of Royal Greenwich Business Awards 2019

October 17, 2018

The nominations for the Best of Royal Greenwich Business Awards 2019 are now open – and we want as many businesses as possible to apply!

The Awards are free to enter and businesses can enter any of the 10 categories until nominations close on Friday 11 January 2019. The categories celebrate everyone from High Street Retailers to Young Entrepreneurs. A list of all the categories and a timeline of events can be found on the Royal Greenwich webpage.

Following the inaugural event last year, this is now an annual event in Royal Greenwich’s calendar. The awards are an opportunity to highlight and showcase the very best that the Royal Borough of Greenwich has to offer in terms of business and enterprise.

The Awards are being sponsored by U+I, a property regeneration company, and have the support of the South East London Chamber of Commerce. The award ceremony will be held at the InterContinental O2 Hotel on Friday 15 February 2019. Our guest presenter will be breakfast TV’s Steph McGovern.

Cllr Danny Thorpe, Leader of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, said:

“Supporting both existing and new businesses is important for the health and future of our borough. The Best of Royal Greenwich Business Awards will provide excellent networking opportunities for businesses, both in the lead up and beyond.

“The awards are also a great opportunity to promote the fact that we are home to over 11,000 businesses and have higher business growth and survival rates than the London average.”

Cllr Denise Hyland, Cabinet Member for Economy, Skills and Apprenticeships, said:

“The Best of Royal Greenwich Business Awards would not be possible if we didn’t have the backing of our sponsors. We have been overwhelmed with the level of interest and support these awards have generated from our business community so thanks to each every one of you.

“We really want to spread the word far and wide. The awards don’t stop with the ceremony itself – they’re also about promoting businesses, boosting networking opportunities and encouraging residents to shop local.”
