Local Restrictions Support Grants for Businesses

November 27, 2020

Financial help for businesses

Local restrictions support grants are open for applications for business in the non-essential retail, leisure, hospitality, and overnight accommodation sectors.

The Local Restrictions Support Grant (LRSG) is payable to local business based on the level of temporary restrictions placed on London as part of the COVID-19 pandemic. There are two types, and it is likely many businesses will be eligible for both, so we have created a single application form to apply for both grants.

Was your business required to close during November?

Businesses required to close in England due to local or national restrictions announced on October 31 may be able to apply for the Local Restriction Support Grant (closed). Eligibility is based on properties with:

. a rateable value of £15k or under, grants of £1,334 for the 28-day period

. a rateable value of between £15k-£51k grants of £2,000 for the 28-day period

. a rateable value of £51k or over grants of £3,000 for the 28-day period

Was your business required to close due to Tier 2 restrictions?

This applies to businesses in the hospitality, over-night accommodation and leisure sector who had to close from 17 October to 4 November when London was in COVID-19 Tier 2 alert level high. Eligibility is based on properties with:

. a rateable value of £15k or under, a one-off grant of £633.79

. a rateable value of between £15k-£51k, a one-off grant of £950

. a rateable value of £51k or over a one-off grant of £1,425

If you have already applied, please share this information with neighbouring businesses who may not be signed up on our newsletter, we want to make sure all businesses who are eligible receive the grants as soon as possible.
