The second round of applications to the Local Authority Discretionary Grant is now open and applications are invited from a WIDER range of businesses that include:
Businesses in a shared space with fixed property costs over £1,000 per year
Businesses from any sector that can evidence a substantial fall in income due to Covid-19
Market Traders operating from markets managed by private market operators
Businesses that occupy a property with a rateable value over £51,000
The grants range from £1,500 to £25,000.
In the first round more than 400 applications were received, are being assessed and payments made to successful applicants.
As the government has recently announced a closing date for the fund, the final application window will close at 5pm on Friday 28 August 2020, or when the funds are exhausted, whichever comes first.
Therefore, if you are applying, you should submit your application and supporting evidence as quickly as possible.
