Thamesmead Business Forum – Going Virtual Monday 6th April – 16:00pm – 17:30pm

I hope you are well and finding some normality in these challenging times.  The Peabody Economic Inclusion team are working hard with our partners and business community to ensure that we continue to support each other and that we remain well informed and best positioned to navigate this period of uncertainty and come out stronger once this situation is resolved.

The Thamesmead Business Forum has been a regular fixture in our monthly calendars for over two years now and we have welcomed over 200 business and partners during this time.  Social distancing and working from home is an understandable barrier for us all, but with the embracing and rapid adoption of new technology, we are becoming even more connected and in more frequent contact which is a huge positive.

In light of this, we will be continuing to run our business forums on the first Monday of each month, but intend to bring these forward to the earlier time of 4pm until 5:30pm.  We are also looking to host these on a Virtual Platform using Zoom (www.zoom.us), which will enable us to invite up to 100 people and ensure that we continue to stay in touch and provide you with the key news, information, advice and guidance that you have been accustomed too.

I am delighted to inform you that our first virtual meeting will be taking place on  Monday 6th April 2020 from 4pm until 5:30pm and we will delivering this in collaboration with the London Borough of Bexley, Royal Borough of Greenwich, East London Business Place and CNT Associates Ltd.

We will be joined by a team of experts who will be on hand to answer any questions you have regarding the impact this is having on the local business community and what support, funding and information is available for you to access.  Please send over any questions you have to me directly prior to the meeting and I will ensure we pass these to the relevant expert(s).  You will also have an opportunity throughout the call to ask questions and we will endeavour to get these answered.

Joining instructions:

Sign up to Zoom for free: www.zoom.us/signup (You can do this via your PC/Laptop/Mobile Phone/Tablet devices).

Once you have signed up you will be able to join a Zoom meeting via www.zoom.us/join and typing in your unique 9 digit meeting number and then entering the unique 6 digit numerical password.  You can also click on the link sent to you directly from the meeting host.

Once you have joined a meeting you will have the option to join by video and audio, and it is entirely your preference if you would just prefer to join with just audio.  There is a chat function for you to ask questions throughout the call and some other options that may be of use which we will brief you on at the start of the call.
