Lying in the foothills of Mount Brown in Waipara Valley North Canterbury, this abandoned wine estate was rediscovered in 2002 by father and daughter team, Tony Rutherford and Catherine Keith, and is already a success story. With greater variation in temperature between night and day than more northerly Marlborough, keeping yields lower, Sauvignon Blanc is thriving in this area.
Winemaker Frank Manifold has already won many awards for the estate Pinot Noir and has now received two medals (silver medal at the Sommelier Wine Awards 2018 and commended medal at the International Wine Challenge 2019) for Mount Brown Sauvignon Blanc 2018.

Intense aromas of pineapple and exotic fruit with hints of citrus. Plenty of tropical fruit flavours backed up by a lemon-lime minerality lead this fine and well-balanced wine to a palate of great depth with a dry citrus finish. Exclusive to Davy’s!
