As a valued supporter, we wanted to share an exciting and expanding area of our work that is having a truly life-changing impact on young people across London and the South East: the AV1 Robot Programme.
What Is The AV1 Robot? A Recap
When children are too unwell to attend school due to cancer treatment or long-term illness, the AV1 Robot keeps them connected to the classroom. Acting as the child’s “eyes, ears and voice,” the robot allows them to join lessons in real-time, stay engaged with their education, and maintain those all-important social connections with friends and teachers.
We have already deployed many AV1 Robots across the region. But as this programme grows, so too does the cost of keeping these vital tools operational.
Each robot costs £800 per year to maintain, which includes software updates, technical support, servicing and more.

We are inviting our community to consider becoming an AV1 Robot Sponsorensuring that this vital support continues for the children who need it most.
There are three sponsorship tiers:
Bronze – £800 (1 year)
Silver – £2,400 (3 years)
Gold – £4,000 (5 years)
