Securing the Future of the Chartwell Unit’s Cancer Care

This month marks The Chartwell Cancer Trust’s 20th anniversary, a huge milestone of unwavering commitment, and we are incredibly grateful for your support over the years.

20 Years of Impact – What Your Support Has Made Possible

When our founder, Michael Douglas, was treated for leukaemia at the Chartwell Unit, he saw firsthand how overstretched the medical team was. He made it his mission to support the incredible medical teams who save lives every day.

Thanks to you, we have achieved so much over two decades:

  • Funded key medical roles
  • Invested nearly £1 million in staffing support
  • Enhanced patient facilities
  • Provided financial aid for patients
  • Successfully campaigned to keep the Chartwell Unit open

The Need is Greater than Ever

The Chartwell Unit’s staff are already under immense pressure. The demand for cancer care is growing, and without more dedicated medical staff, patients are facing longer waiting times – sometimes up to 8 weeks before starting treatment – a wait many patients simply cannot afford. Cancer does not wait, and neither can we.

Help Us Strengthen and Sustain Lifesaving Care

To continue delivering timely, high quality care, we need consistent and reliable funding to grow and sustain the Chartwell Unit’s medical teams. By growing our Patron Network we can build a reliable, long-term source of support to fund more frontline medical roles, ensuring faster treatment and better patient care.

A small monthly gift makes a big difference. It’s flexible and can be adjusted at any time. Adding Gift Aid also boosts donations by a further 25% at no extra cost.

20 Days. 20 Patrons. One Powerful Impact.

To mark our 20th anniversary, we are launching a bold challenge to recruit 20 new patrons in 20 days!

Please spread the word by sharing our news with family, friends and colleagues.

Anyone can join by clicking here or by downloading and completing the Patron Form. Please return to: [email protected] or by post: The Chartwell Cancer Trust, Highclere House, 180 Main Road, Biggin Hill, Kent TN16 3BB.

Thank you for standing with us. Here’s to the next 20 years of making a difference together.

Your kindness continues to make a real difference!
