Networking With A Purpose - Help Get Disadvantaged People Back Into Work

Local Greenwich charity First Step Trust, an organisation helping those disadvantaged back into work, are holding another of their ‘Let’s Get Owen Goin’ networking events.

It promises to be a great networking opportunity with many larger companies and organisations represented.

Owen is a poor old French van which the Trust aims to transform to a mobile coffee shop. Many people have had working lunches with Owen, cleaning up bits or taking axles off, including Denise Hyland, leader of RB Greenwich; Charlie Mullins, CEO of Pimlico Plumbers and Stephen Nelson, past president of the South East London Chamber of Commerce.

The event is held in the Trust’s garage which they use to train people in motor mechanics and office work. They somehow transform the garage into a place of wonder, with great food provided by the Trust’s training restaurant, Clapham-based Abbevilles.

The event takes place on Thursday October 5, starting from 17.30 until 21.30 with a price of £15 per head – food and drinks included.

For full details or to book a place please contact Ronnie Wilson MBE, on 07971 051037 or ronnie.wilson@firststeptrust.org.uk

It promises to be a wonderful night helping a very worthwhile cause!
