The good work the Council does to find apprenticeships for the borough’s young people has led to it being shortlisted as ‘Employer of the Year’ in the London South East College (LSEC) Annual Awards for its apprenticeship programme.

Cabinet Member for Education, Cllr John Fuller said; “I am delighted that we are in the running for this award from LSEC. We are very proud of our record of creating and supporting our young people with a range of interesting apprenticeship opportunities. Apprenticeships provide a fantastic route to career development for young people keen to get into work. We pride ourselves on offering a huge range of courses and job opportunities both working at the Council and by signposting young people to local employers and training providers.”

The Awards will be presented at Rose Bruford College in Sidcup next week (Tuesday 4 July).
