Join The Living Wage Foundation to celebrate 20 years of the Living Wage movement in London and hear the new London Living Wage rates.
They’ll look back on how far they’ve come since the movement began in 2001 and hear the vision for the future of the real Living Wage in London. Hear from brilliant speakers from across the network including the Mayor of Newham, frontline workers, Living Wage Employers, and in what has become a yearly tradition, you will also get to see the premiere of a new song performed by St Antony’s RC School choir.
Thanks to their generous partners Tate & Lyle, Newham Council and Projekt we’ll be hosting the event at The Factory in Newham where the campaign for a real Living Wage began.
Since then, workers in Newham have worked to raise the profile of the campaign, resulting in thousands of workers being uplifted to the real Living Wage with Newham Council accrediting earlier this year.
