CONSULTATION ON PROPOSAL TO OPEN POST OFFICE INSIDE CRAYFORD LIBRARY
The Post Office has launched a public consultation on a proposal to restore Crayford’s post office at a new location: inside the town’s library.
London Borough of Bexley supports the proposal, which would see the return of the town’s post office this October or November.
Crayford’s previous post office was located in Crayford Road and closed a year ago, in July 2016.
The Council has been considering a number of proposals to increase the use of libraries and generate more income for the library service.
It believes the opening of a post office inside Crayford Library will have a limited impact on library users. It will also increase footfall into the library and attract more people to use its modern facilities.
The Post Office’s consultation will run for six weeks, until 22 August.
More information about its proposal and details of how to give your views are available in the library or online at postofficeviews.co.uk.
