Apprenticeship recruitment event: 26 October

The Royal Borough of Greenwich is holding an apprenticeship recruitment day on Wednesday 26 October for people to find out more about apprenticeship opportunities with the council.

Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to work, earn and learn and give a solid foundation for a future career, providing ongoing learning and development and prospects for future progression. The council currently has a range of business administration and customer service based apprenticeships on offer.

Councillor Sizwe James, Cabinet Member for Transport, Economy and Smart Cities, said: “Apprenticeships provide such a valuable opportunity to work for an employer and gain a real qualification, whilst acquiring valuable workplace skills and experience and earning a wage. If you or your work age children are looking for a job – it doesn’t matter what age – an apprenticeship could be just right for you. The council has a very diverse workforce and we warmly welcome applications from people with disabilities so register now for a place.”

What’s included?
• A nationally recognised NVQ level 2 or 3 qualification in a related training framework (apprentices will receive study release)
• A fortnightly paid training allowance
• Full time roles (35 hours per week, including training)
